NOTICE: THE DEV AI TRAINING PROGRAM IS PAUSED TEMPORARILY

The rest of this page is preserved for when we resume it.

Read this entire page!

If you ask a question that’s answered on this page, you may be blocked, so read it fully!

You have complete freedom in what you do while you’re training the AI, as long as it’s software development related.

YOU CAN GET PAID BY CLIENTS AND BY ONOP AT THE SAME TIME!

You can work on existing client work, on personal projects, on MattyJack’s wacky software ideas, or on some Onop-related work.

Examples of development work we’re interested in:

  • WordPress
  • Anything involving Visual Studio Code
  • Python
  • Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP
  • C, C#, C++
  • Anything else code-related

Welcome to the Project!

We’re developing an AI-powered tool designed to help software engineers streamline their workflow by automatically tracking tasks and generating reports. This tool is in the early stages of training, and we need your help to make it smarter.

As part of this project, you’ll be using two key apps:

  1. Linear.app: This will be used for issue tracking and managing your tasks.
  2. Onop.co: This app will run in the background to capture screenshots of your work. These screenshots will help train the AI to recognize when tasks are completed and to assist with documentation.

How It Works:

  • You’ll use Linear.app for task/issue management and Onop.co to automatically screenshot your work.
  • When you complete a task in Linear, simply mark it in Onop.co so the AI can learn to recognize task completion independently.
  • The AI takes 5 screenshots per minute of you working.
  • The AI will also track your workflow in real-time, improving its ability to assist with project management.
  • Do not use the software from your phone. It has to be used from your computer.

Compensation:

If you’re an AI developer: We’ll pay you extra to develop Onop! Ask Matt for details!

NOTE THAT OUR RATES MAY BE REDUCED IN THE FUTURE! JOIN NOW TO GET IN ON THIS CURRENT RATE!

You’ll be paid $2 per hour of time spent training the AI. Payment options include PayPal, Wise, and LTC Crypto.

What We Need:

You have complete freedom in what you do while you’re training the AI. It has to be related to software development. You can work on existing client work, personal projects, or MattyJack’s wacky software ideas.

Please note that you have to actually be working while having your screen tracked with Onop, for the data to be useful to us. That means that you can’t be watching YouTube, hanging out on Discord or Slack (unless it’s quick communications with clients, and even then you have to mark it as communicating with clients in Linear.app and Onop), or gaming. If your data turns out to be not-useful because you weren’t coding or working properly, or not submitting issues properly, then you’ll be fired and paid a maximum $2 severance package “kill-fee” as thanks for your time. That means that you still get $2 total if you track your time for a full hour and things don’t work out.

All you have to do is use the apps, let them run while you work, and mark task completions. It’s an easy way to help shape the future of AI-driven project management while getting paid for your time!

How to use Onop

Please follow the above tutorial on how to use the Onop AI Trainer App

Please be as descriptive as possible when entering information into Linear, that will help the AI the most.

Keep all sessions under 1.33 hours. (1 hour 20 minutes)

After 1.666666 (1 hour 40 minutes) hours Onop AI Trainer glitches out and stops tracking properly.

YOU MUST LOGOUT (by clicking the Logout button in the bottom right of the screen) at the end of each working day. Failing to do so may mean your session may fail to upload properly, which means it may be invalid and which means YOU WILL NOT BE PAID.

Examples of Linear Issues

The Onop AI is trained from both the issue title and the issue description. Remember this.

Issues should individually take 10 minutes to 1 hour to complete, to help be specific to the AI.

Here’s an example of a bad issue, it does not contain a description, it has a vague and basic title, and it does not help the AI learn from the training session:

Here’s an example of a good issue, it contains a detailed description, has a detailed title, and it does its’ best to help the AI learn from the training session:

Issues should be broken down into 10-minute to 1-hour tasks. We don’t want 10-hour mega-issues like some devs have been submitting.

This is important.

Warnings and Notes

Do not track on the weekends. The weekends is when the system is being updated, and may break time-tracking.

You must have a stable internet connection and power connection for the screenshots to upload at the end of the session. If they don’t upload correctly they won’t count.

You must stay at your computer, working constantly, while training the AI. If you get up to use the bathroom, eat, or whatever else, then you must stop the tracking while you do so.

You must not let your computer turn off or enter sleep mode while training the AI.

Failing to properly train the AI will mean your entire session will be invalidated and YOU WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THAT SESSION!

YOU MUST LOGOUT (by clicking the Logout button in the bottom right of the screen) at the end of each working day. Failing to do so may mean your session may fail to upload properly, which means it may be invalid and which means YOU WILL NOT BE PAID.

Become an Onop training manager

We have an opportunity to become a manager for this project.

You can get paid $2 per hour of valid tracked time and then pay the developers who work under you $1 or $1.50 per hour, profiting $0.50 – $1 per hour of tracked time!

You will be given access to an admin page where you can view the screenshots and time logs of the developers who work for you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Recruiting developers for the project
  • Making sure that the developers understand how to track time properly
  • Handling payments for the developers as a middle-man
  • Filling out spreadsheets to track the sessions properly
  • Making sure the developers fill out the Linear issues properly and completely
  • Reviewing the screenshots taken by the developers
  • Communicating with Matt and Jose about the project and the devs
  • Handling any issues that arise
  • Other duties as assigned to you

To get started, Direct Message @mattyjacks on Discord with the message “I want to manage for Onop”

Thank you!

Notes on Privacy

Onop DOES NOT log your keystrokes, it ONLY takes screenshots every 5 seconds. Only the AI and the super-admins have access to the full-resolution screenshots, your direct managers only have access to low-resolution screenshots, for privacy.

Privacy Policy

Onop AI, Inc. – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 5, 2024
Onop AI, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy
outlines how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide while using the Onop
Chrome Extension (the “Extension”). By using the Extension, you agree to the collection and
use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
The Onop Chrome Extension is designed to collect data to help automate task tracking for
software developers. We collect the following information:
● Screenshots: The Extension captures screenshots of your active desktop or work
session. Additionally, we use this data to improve our AI models. While you cannot opt
out of this feature in the current beta version, the data is used strictly for model training.
For initial quality control, humans may review low-resolution versions of these
screenshots as part of a manual data quality screening process.
● Metadata: We may collect metadata, such as timestamps of screenshots, to improve
task analysis and summarization.
● User-Provided Data: If you choose to use your own OpenAI API key, no screenshots or
related data will be sent to us. Instead, they will be processed directly through your API
connection.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely to:
● Analyze and summarize your work activity;
● Provide you with real-time task tracking insights;
● Generate reports and dashboards related to your work session.
If you opt in, your data may also be used for training our AI models. You can opt out at any time
through the settings within the Extension.
3. Data Sharing and Storage

OpenAI, screenshots are transmitted securely. Data is encrypted both in transit and at
rest to ensure your privacy.
● Opt-Out for AI Model Training: You can choose whether to share your data for training
purposes. If you opt out, your data will not be used to improve our models or services.
● International Data Transfers: As part of providing services, your information may be
transferred to, stored, or processed outside of the United States, including countries that
may not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction. We ensure that such
transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the services offered by the
Extension. Once a work session ends, all screenshots are automatically deleted from your local
cache. If you opt into sharing data, it will be stored for the duration of your consent and used
only as specified in this policy. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 1
months of receiving your request.
5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California
Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with certain rights regarding your personal information.
These rights include:
● Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information

changes, you have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.
● Right to Correct: You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal
information.
● Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right to receive equal service and pricing even
if you exercise your privacy rights under CCPA/CPRA.

Our Extension does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals at this time. However, we give
you control over the data we collect, and you can opt out of certain data collection through your
account settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or
solicit personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently
collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly

responsibility or liability for their practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies
before using any third-party services.
9. Security Measures
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption of
data in transit and at rest. However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure,
and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected
users as required by applicable laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
We will take all reasonable steps to mitigate the damage and prevent future breaches, including
providing you with details on what happened, what data was affected, and what we are doing to
rectify the situation.
11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Chrome Extension does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies. However, if we
ever integrate such features for performance monitoring or analytics, you will be notified and
given an option to opt out.
12. Third-Party Service Providers
We may engage trusted third-party service providers to assist in providing our services, such as

data for any purpose other than providing services to us, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
13. User Account Security
While we employ security measures to protect your information, the security of your account is
also dependent on you. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to protect
your login credentials. Do not share your password with anyone, and notify us immediately if
you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
14. Legal Basis for Processing
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and
using your personal information depends on the specific information concerned and the context
in which we collect it. Typically, we collect personal information from you where:
● We need it to provide our services to you;
● You have given us consent to do so;
● It is necessary for our legitimate business interests (such as improving our services); or
● We need to comply with a legal obligation.
15. Data Portability
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured,
commonly used, and machine-readable format. If you would like to make such a request, please
contact us at info@onop.co.
16. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
Our Chrome Extension may use automated decision-making tools, such as AI-generated task
summaries, to provide insights and reports on your work sessions. These automated decisions
are based solely on the data you provide, and you have the right to contest decisions that are
made using automated processing. If you believe an automated decision has been made in
error, please contact us at info.onop.co.
17. California “Shine the Light” Law
California’s “Shine the Light” law allows residents of California to request certain details about
the personal information a business shares with third parties for direct marketing purposes. We
do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you
have any questions regarding this law, please contact us.
18. Effective Date and Changes
This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 1st 2024. We may update this Privacy Policy from
time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or
regulatory reasons. When we update this policy, we will notify you through the Extension or via
email. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy.
